The Intensity Extreme is the perfect solution for Mac based encoding via HDMI or analog video, integrating flawlessly with Livestream Procaster and  Livestream for Producers (New Livestream Encoding Software) via the Mac's Thunderbolt port.  The device also comes packaged with Blackmagic Media Express, allowing for full HD capture in .AVI for backup and/or playback.
